The sixth largest steel producer in the world – South Korea

A good 25 years ago, South Korea produced roughly the same amount of steel as our main market in Germany. Whereas the tonnage produced here has remained more or less constant over the years, South Korea has almost doubled its output.

In order to become even more efficient and to reduce processing times in machining production, the aim is to produce steel bars that are as straight as possible. We have excellent references worldwide for the straightening of steel bars and slabs.

We already have good market access in South Korea thanks to our strong presence in the automotive sector.

After initial successes, which now combine the two strengths on the peninsula, there are many more inquiries and work for Matthias Klemme. He is THE expert when it comes to straightening steel and has now spent two weeks answering our business partners' questions. He returned home with many impressions, opportunities and tasks.
