Indo-German value creation: Why the Indian market is becoming strategically important for German mechanical engineering

With 6.5% economic growth in 2024/2025, India is developing into a global powerhouse. While others are still discussing growth forecasts, India is already building at full speed! 🏗️

Three reasons why India is becoming indispensable for us:

1️⃣ Record infrastructure expansion: USD 131.9 billion investment in 2025/2026 means demand for precision machine tools, construction technology and automation solutions.

2️⃣ "Make in India" initiative: Local production needs German quality. Example: Tata Steel modernizes with German precision machines.

3️⃣ Technology transfer instead of cheap production: Indian engineers are not looking for the cheapest, but the most sustainable partner.

India is also a key market in our international portfolio. Our straightening machines ensure precise tolerances for engine, transmission and axle components in Indian automotive plants. But not only there, other industries also benefit from our "Made in Germany" solutions.

By the way: Our sales engineer Matthias Klemme is currently in India and has successfully negotiated a new M-AH 63 straightening machine. Chapeau! 👏

How are you positioned when it comes to India? Let us know in the comments! 🇩🇪🤝🇮🇳
