Big meets Bigger

A manual straightening press with movable C-frame and 1,000 tons of straightening force, that's something special even for us.

This Big Boy has now made its way to our customer, a long-established German stainless steel plant, which also already has our automatic ADSV 4000, the largest straightening machine in the world, in operation at its plant. The new little brother is designed for manual straightening of mandrel bars and propeller shafts, with outside diameters of up to 400mm and lengths of up to 17.5m.

To avoid having to transport the workpieces, some of which are quite long, back and forth during the straightening process, the press is mounted on a traversing device and can thus move the workpiece away. Partially stationary mounted roller fixtures allow optimal positioning of the workpiece.

An exciting project that took up a lot of space in our assembly hall is now coming to an end. Admittedly, the construction and internal commissioning presented us with a few challenges, but we were happy to accept and solve them in close cooperation with our customer. We will now set up the press at our customer's site and start it up again and finally.

We are looking forward to the family reunion and wish all participants for this a good success.
